The Odoo Dev Lead is responsible for the technical implementation of Odoo ERP solutions for clients. The Dev Lead will be responsible for overseeing and managing the development team, ensuring technical best practices, and delivering high-quality solutions that meet client requirements.
Responsibilities
- Manage and oversee the development team, ensuring adherence to technical best practices and timely delivery of solutions
- Put rules and guidelines for customization, integration with 3rd parties, data migration, testing & quality, security, support, maintenance, upgrades….
- Responsible of the cleanless, maintainable, and efficient source codes
- Conduct code reviews and provide feedback to other developers
- Responsible of the systems hosting (Cloud/Onpremises)
- Ensure quality assurance processes are in place and followed to deliver high-quality solutions
- Ensure support and troubleshooting processes are in place and followed
- Manage the technical upgrades to the newest Odoo versions
- Ensure that the development estimation is accurate and that iterations are delivered on time
- Ensure that technical guides and documents are well written
- Mentor and coach other developers on best practices and new technologies
- Work collaboratively with project managers, functional consultants, and other stakeholders to deliver successful projects
- Analyse client requirements and design technical solutions that meet their business needs
- Keep up-to-date with Odoo updates, features, and add-ons to continuously improve technical expertise
Must Have
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field
- 7+ years of experience with Odoo ERP solutions
- Strong technical skills in Python, PostgreSQL, and JavaScript
- Experience with Odoo development, including customizations, integrations, and migrations
- Experience managing and leading development teams
- Strong problem-solving skills and ability to troubleshoot and resolve technical issues
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Knowledge of software development best practices and agile methodologies
- Willingness to learn new technologies and adapt to changing requirements
- Fluent in English and Arabic
